About Marc

Marc Librescu

Marc Librescu is a writer and editor whose work has long focused on music, culture, and the people who shape them. In the early 1980s, He was active in New York’s vibrant literary scene, regularly reading his poetry at Life Café.

His music journalism career includes interviews with artists such as Steve Harley, Paul Kelly, and Aboriginal musician Mandawuy Yunupingu of the band Yothu Yindi. He has also contributed to prominent publications such as The Los Angeles Times and The Comics Journal, where he interviewed notable figures, including cartoonists Gahan Wilson and Dan Piraro.

Most recently, Marc penned essays for This Guitar Has Seconds to Live: A People’s History of The Who (2023) and Welcome Back My Friends: A People's History of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (2025).
